Firewood Policy

Lodgings with Wood-Burning Fireplaces

All of our lodgings are fully winterized with self-control radiant heat. Our wood-burning and gas fireplaces are for ambiance only and are not to be used as a heat source.

Please only burn one or two pieces of firewood at a time. We provide firewood in your lodging that will last your entire stay when burned low and slow. If you need additional firewood during your stay, you can purchase it on-site. By New York State Law, customers cannot bring their own firewood.

Outdoor Fire Pits

During the summer and early fall, we have several outdoor fire pits throughout the property, for which we provide wood. The types of wood used in outdoor and indoor fireplaces are different. Please do not use the wood provided for your indoor fireplace in the outdoor firepits (or vice versa).
